Your thinking is correct, but we live in a world where even the BBC News agenda is driven by right-wing talking points on Twitter.

We'll be hearing about this for days.
I am, personally, quite enjoying the right-wing meltdown that their shouting and screaming is achieving nothing regarding Reeves' budget.

Dan Hodges is about to go 0-4 in his crusades to get people sacked or removed from their post. Surely one of the biggest losing streaks in political journalism?

You have to be a particular type of cruel person to not support taking 450,000 children out of poverty (that they're in through no fault of their own) just because it MIGHT mean you have to give up a little bit, if anything at all.

Removing the child benefit cap is patriotic and correct.

In recent years, I can only remember 2 of the hundreds of instances of accidental prison releases receiving major news coverage by BBC News. Both of them in recent weeks, and both of foreign immigrants.

This is racist news reporting and needs calling out.

Final Thursday thoughts. Circulation figures for @dailymail.co.uk continue to plummet into oblivion.

First there was the embarrassment of #currygate, and now we have the Rachel Reeves #rentgate showing them once again to be no more than a failing far-right pamphlet.

Dwindling sales reflect this:

Why is BBC News obsessed with migrant stories? Do their journalists live on Twitter?

It's like a football gossip website at this point.

Miserable commentary and out of sync audio.

BBC News cover every policy announcement from Reform and Nigel Farage more than when the actual government implements real life policy.

They will write countless articles telling us that Labour are terrible, yet do zero scrutiny on the absolute bollocks that Reform come up with.

The government needs to urgently investigate the BBC. This isn't normal.
Bit strange to hear the Today programme interviewing the CEO of Newsmax like he's a public intellectual, then interviewing a Labour minister like he's a war criminal

Why are the British media, and BBC News in particular, terrified of confronting Nigel Farage or any negative reporting?

His conduct in the US today has been shameful, unpatriotic, and can be accused of conspiring against the country. It should be shown to everyone what a horrible human being he is.
