Not a cat, but a real human working in End User Computing, navigating family life with my wife and 2 daughters. Opinions my own and not of my employer. He/him
The slowly dawning realisation that the old balding fella over there with the wispy eyebrows and nostrils overgrown with wiry white hairs was like you and me once, only he reached a point where he could no longer see them or just couldn't be arsed to pull em out any more 😄

I completed Final Fantasy VII on MY FRIEND'S PlayStation. (Given we did look after their house when they went on holiday, but still impressed with teenage me)

11yo on verge of getting a phone for Xmas & had just got into crochet. Her classmates had a group chat that went a bit crazy and school got involved. We decided to leave it til after SATS & she surprised us by saying "actually I'm glad I'm not getting a phone or I wouldn't have time to crochet!"🧶

I often come up with ideas for solving problems at work or DIY projects at home when I'm running and have realised if I don't write them down as soon as I get in the door, they disappear completely.

Bring back 'retreating into the shadows in shame' after you've been exposed as a wrong'un

The only right and proper thing to do to remember him is to lower the flags to 'half lamppost' (Then they're low enough to be torn down)

Oh and the intern won't tell you where they trained. But they're REALLY confident.

Used like an eager intern over whom you have ultimate responsibility and know what 'good' and 'right' looks like, it can be a really useful tool. You just have to put to one side that you just removed the 'intern' job from the job pool.

The irony of having to wait while the website checks that I'm a 'real fan' and then see all the tickets have sold out in record time and then seeing stubhub and viagogo fill up in almost real time really winds me up

Do you think it's weird that the Daily Mail is publishing this stuff against Farage? Or is it the fact that they lose their cosy Tory allegiance if Reform get into power so they're trying to keep their Conservative mates on side?

OMG this just unlocked a memory from when I used to work in manufacturing. Me and a few colleagues read this together like a little book club. Some good stuff in there that sounds like common sense but is actually quite clever.

The tech bros have taken a sciency/ inference technology and gone "whoah wouldn't it be cool if..." and unfortunately most of the things they've found are actually not cool.

Brit here, but hope still a valid point. My wife ended up in hospital with severe mastitis after trying so hard to breastfeed. Doctor actually told her to stop.
A weight was lifted after that. Thickened formula reduced reflux and meant I could do feeds whenever instead of watching her in agony.

One of the most powerful pieces of mandatory training I received was watching and discussing this video by @johnamaechi.apsintel.com on the difference between being not racist and anti-racist. Staying quiet is not an option if you want the world to know your position.
