I'm rewriting the damn poem because the message is flawed.

A screenshot of the poem I wrote so nobody can steal it and claim they wrote it. It is highlighted in blue with white lettering. It says
First and always, they came for the black person, and I spoke out because I knew it's wrong.
Second they came for the immigrants and I spoke out because it's wrong.
Third they came for trans people, and I didn't speak out because I'm trans but because it's the right thing fucking thing to do.
And when they finally did come for me, I understood, because I had never been silent.

My anti-fascist Dad turned 98 today. He enlisted in the Navy at age 16 (graduated early, had parent permission to enlist). That's what he did for his country. #1stAmendment
