Took Teela out into “nature” (aka the backyard) for a photo.

Stranger Things! Dungeons & Dragons! Two great tastes that taste great together. I don't read a lot of tie-in books lately, but I wanted to try this one out to spend more time with Eddie. Here's my review. #BookSky #StrangerThings #DungeonsandDragons #BookReview

Today I'm reviewing for you The Third Policeman by Flann O'Brien, a fine, witty and very strange absurdist existential comedic novel. Phew. Now, if that sounds a little intimidating, don't be. Or, at least, watch the video first before you decide to be. #BookSky #BookReviews #IrishWriting

I found the Vintage Collection Teela today. I indulged and bought two because in the original mini-comics mythos they were two distinct characters. #motu #mastersoftheuniverse

I’m liking the new figures for the MOTU movie. There’s supposed to be a smaller scale kid-friendly line with vehicles too. I’m going to try to skip those, for space and money reasons. But if I like the movie, I’ll definitely get these. I ::enjoy:: new interpretations of characters.

See a butt, post a butt. ☀️🍑

Years back I started drawing a Masters of the Universe “swimsuit” calendar for fun. I should get back to it some day. 🤣

Sketchbook He-man! This is a fun figure. I’ve really enjoyed the sketchbook concept series.

Cuddled up with some cocoa and @eclecticgaymer.bsky.social watching The Boyfriend season 2. It’s cozy AF.

Mantenna was some gateway horror for my 6yo self let me tell you. This New Eternia version really brings the creep factor. #motu #actionfigures

Mid-way through the month, here's what I've read, what I'm working on reading, and what's next! #BookSky #Books #BookReading #WutheringHeights #StrangerThings

I have a lot of questions / thoughts, but let's select two:
- Is this meant to be gateway horror for a child as they snack on the creatures organs?
- If that's its catchphrase, it probably deserves to be opened up and have its organs scooped out and dipped into sauces.

This was a fun read, and I’m happy we got more Eddie. For a moment I thought this panel had a mistake but then remembered hearing that 70s d20s repeated numbers instead of 1-20! That’s a great touch. You could get picky about a nat20 being anachronistic in 1979 but I figure it’s a house rule. 😊

Finished The Third Policeman. Review soon! Thought I’d read a slightly less mentally challenging book (I assume!) as a palette cleanser before tackling the next book on my list.

It’s weird to me that Skeletor has no nipples. I guess part of the magical corruption / acid that made him (or is he an extra-dimensional demon again this time around?) might have rendered him nipple-less but that’s a weird detail. “I have the power of havoc, but lost my nipples!! Oh, and my face.”

Getting to see this concert after hearing it so many times was a complete and utter treat. Liza sometimes gets reduced to impersonation (and I do love a good one) but I hope that never overshadows what a complete, amazing, once in a lifetime powerhouse she is. #FilmSky

Nothing like an adaptation to spur one to finally read a classic. We have a pretty leatherbound edition but I find those too fancy for my reading needs. I needed an edition I could smudge with fingerprints and not feel bad about.

Found this today at the record store. I “discovered” Liza through Arrested Development weirdly enough. Shortly after seeing Cabaret I listened to this album and loved it. But I’ve never seen it! Anyway. It’s a tall order but hoping Liza can help quell the incandescent rage currently burning in me.

Personal experience has taught me every gay needs a lesbian/bi best friend. And, I like writing women more than men. It's true. I love the four main guys in the book. But Dottie is another character who evolved so much as a character. I love her boldness, in comparison to Tomas's reserve.

Now for some side characters in the book. First up, Lady Acton. I love her as a character. One of the most fun to write for, certainly. She's one of those characters that kept surprising me, even as I was writing the book. Those are always gold.

Gothic horror and gothic romance are closely linked in my brain, at least for the type of story I set out to tell here. Which is why there is the element of romance in the present day, too. Ty was a fan of Max's, and falls hard for him. But he's got a LOT going on in his own life already.
January 23, 2026 at 9:25 PM
The story of Shearhaven continues beyond 1877, however. The second half sees Max, the hunky music star burned out way too young, buying Shearhaven. It's a different dynamic than the more traditional gothic story in the first part of the book. Which is where the story veers more toward dark fantasy.

If you have someone running away from a foreboding estate, you must have a darkly mysterious owner, right? Jackson Vanguard is only eight years older than Tomas, but has had a world's worth more experience. His extravagant parties and libertine excesses have done little to quell a deep need within.
