I have never seen anything like this in NYC. 5th Ave covered from 42nd St well to the 20s. Nobody prepared for this volume. Volunteers are holding the traffic on all the side streets. No police in sight. #handsoff

I always imagined this was because, during the French Revolution, royalty was expected to give away their cakes.

I believe it needs rebranding. The term "woke" has gained a negative connotation in recent years. Let's reframe it as "Don't be a jerk," replacing "jerk" with whatever term fits best.
