Feat of Clay

Carlos Alcaraz isn't QUITE in a groove just yet.

But, with his level of talent, he doesn't need to be to get these wins.

Last week's champion in Monte-Carlo overcomes some wobbles in the 2nd set to defeat American qualifier Ethan Quinn, 6-2, 7-6⁶.

Carlos now faces Laslo Djere.

😆
Ha!

So, apparently, while getting her ass whooped by Lois Boisson today, Harriet Dart was heard telling the chair umpire to tell the Frenchwoman to put on deodorant.

Lois Boisson posted this on Instagram. 😭

(Dart seems to get in a lot of these little tiffs... notably with her BJK Cup teammates.)

Wednesday schedule in Monte-Carlo:
April 9, 2025 at 12:33 AM
Which of the Big 3 do you think you’re most similar to? Or which one would you like to be like?

Alcaraz: I’m not a big fan of comparisons. Of course, it’s an honor to be compared to the three greatest of all time, but I’m Carlos Alcaraz, and I’m just trying to follow my own path — nothing more.
April 8, 2025 at 12:27 AM
Alcaraz.

"I’m not obsessed with being the best in the world. I was number one a few years ago, and I was happy. Now I’m number three, and I’m just as happy. I’m enjoying the journey, the sport, and life."
April 8, 2025 at 12:26 AM
Alcaraz, a multimillionaire, still lives with his parents. And he doesn't want to change that.

"I don’t have much free time. I’m really happy when I get to go back to my parents' home after a long tour or a stretch of tournaments."
April 8, 2025 at 12:19 AM
Alcaraz was asked by GQ Spain if he thinks about winning +20 Slams.

"It’s hard for me to talk about winning 20 Grand Slam titles right now. I only have four, and it would be a mistake to think about reaching 20 when the next one would just be my 5th."
April 8, 2025 at 12:13 AM
Did Alcaraz change since it all started?

"More than changing, I’d say evolving. Even though I’m still very young, I came into the circuit as just a kid. During this time, I’ve learned a bit about how everything (...) The day I stop evolving, we’ll be in trouble…"
April 8, 2025 at 12:04 AM
Alcaraz enjoyed his @netflix series.

"I loved it — mainly because it truly reflects who I am and the people who are with me on this journey. I think everyone who watches it will end up feeling like they know me a little better, especially on a personal level."
