The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 created the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. I reread it today; nothing in the law allows a president to defund PBS and NPR. In fact, Congress specifically sought to insulate public media from political pressure.

Given the literal definition of deportation is removing a foreigner or noncitizen from the country, we - journalists, media orgs - should probably all stop referring to the ‘deportation’ of a 2 year old US citizen. It’s NOT a deportation.

Buster Olney’s “The Last Night of the Yankee Dynasty” is one of the best baseball books ever written, IMO. The level of detail, 9/11 as the backdrop to when everything ended… It’s so, so good
It’s probably great for mlb ratings if some team goes god mode because haters have eyeballs too. Fun to have a team to root against. Dodgers aren’t there yet tho. They need to win another title this year—and maybe 3 in 4– to be great enough to be considered Evil Empire. Then we’ll talk.

This rule, initially established by the now gutted CFPB, was expected to save consumers $5 billion annually.
