It’s kinda startling how you can’t reliably use the open internet to find information anymore. The AI generated response is up top, then it’s 2-3 pages before finding a back up source that isn’t an AI website. Simply wondering ‘how long does homemade infused olive oil last’ is such a headache now.

Finally gave the new Scowl album a few full play throughs. Pretty extreme genre leap for the band. Best way I can describe it is that it sounds like a less polished Garbage album (not really a criticism, it’s nearly impossible to out-polish Butch Vig).
Aw yesss!

This was honestly the most Late-Stage Capitalism event I’ve ever witnessed, barely edging out that crypto Super Bowl from a couple years ago

This is the crux of many face to face conversations I’ve had with people over the last few weeks. Dem or Rep, if they haven’t been paying attention, are still under this belief.

500,000 tons of food designated for humanitarian aid is just sitting at sea in limbo now. Cool cool cool.

‘By its very nature, a Super Bowl Halftime Show is for everybody. But this one? This one wasn’t really for everybody. This was for the people who kept up, who paid attention.’

Certainly my favorite SB halftime show ever!

I'd like to see more writing on how the Musk/Trump junta feels like a frontal attack on the entire concept of virtue, in even the most traditional senses.

They are actively demonizing and punishing everyone who doesn't worship Mammon.

2. The effort to "eliminate DEI" is just a code to avoid talking explicitly about white power

But Darren Beattie, just hired for a senior State Department role, made the point explicitly last October

Rewatched Major Payne last night for reasons still unclear. But man this movie is funny. One of my favorite scenes in a 90s comedy.

Love when a project goes well, I fixed my favorite AKG’s! The person soldering these things at the factory must have been paid by the headphone though, nearly every solder in these things is a cold joint 😬

This pedalboard was, unfortunately, only useable by those with tiny toddler feet. I do think these keeley workstations sound cool though. The harmonic trem on the mod workstation is killer, if I can ever remember how to find it

the acceleration of the carceral state in my lifetime has aided only the corporations who have benefited therefrom and done so at immense human cost, and we see it in policing, prison, military — in schools too. a profound human evil. somehow we must organize and act around this
