Train Enthusiast. Part-time Foodie. Cities are better with lots of people.
And this is why we need to take lanes next year and beef up the bus lanes 😤

We can’t keep letting our buses and the labor hours they require get stuck in traffic.

Buses keep people moving in Seattle.

We need reliable travel times.

Fall days like this have me thankful for the Olympic Rain Shadow 🌧️ 🏔️ 😌

Not a big travel year by air, but revisited some favs and explored some new destinations by ship. 🚢

Look forward to new adventures in 2026!

Singaporean bike path/sidewalk.

And not many bike lanes in Asia. Didn’t come across many in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, or Singapore (though it did have shared pathways for walking and biking, which produced mixed results).

Missed micromobility while I was traveling. One of the few areas Asia is behind the U.S. — okay, mostly Seattle…

Buses are the hardworking, often invisible backbone of cities, even in places like Hong Kong, where the incredibly efficient MRT runs. Buses connect communities to rail and move people where trains often cannot, without the tremendous financial investment and engineering expertise required for rail.

Hit the streets with Hong Kong’s Outrunners this wkd.

I love checking out the different courses of international frontrunner clubs while traveling. It’s a great way to connect w/locals and learn about their city.

Have now run courses in Europe & Asia.

How much adventure can you fit into Day 1 with little sleep?

Turns out, quite a lot with determination and caffeine!

Jet lag be damned.

Highlights include:
- Michelin star dumplings
- Ten Thousand Buddhas
- Bruce Lee
- Library of dim sum
- Skyscrapers
- MRT rides

And just like that we threw hands in Lumiose City. 🚖

Walking only my dude. Sad we don’t have a battle subway here. 😢

Big break from the SEA. Off to Asia’s world city for a few days and adventures in SE Asia.

Too short of stay in SF. Definitely want to come back here again. Always love the energy of the city, even when it’s just a quick airport stop.

A possible explanation for Seattle’s slower ballot returns this year.

CHS Blog reports an unprecedented number of ballots were returned via drop boxes instead of mail — which helps explain why results are taking longer to process:

Tried Tacos Cometa tonight: incredible food, affordable prices, and proof that street-level entrepreneurship brings real flavor to the city. 🌮

Our streets should make it easier for people with vision (and a grill) to thrive.

Voted! 🗳️📫

Whether you’re mailing your ballot or using a dropbox — make sure to get those ballots in, Washingtonians.

Big leadership decisions on the ballot this year for Seattle.

Thirty Great. ✨
Kicked off 38 surrounded by friends at my neighborhood spot.

37 was hard — full of lessons in life, love, and laughter. Took the advice of other Black men: cultivate joy in the face of adversity.

Still learning, still growing, still choosing me. ❤️

Took my new Brooks gear for a spin this week — first time wearing it since visiting their company store.

Love that this Seattle brand keeps showing up for the local running community and continues to support Seattle Frontrunners as a sponsor.

Feels good to rep local. 🏃‍♂️💙

Rode the new E Marginal Way S bike lane today. Smooth, protected, and part of the growing dream of riding all the way around Elliott Bay on safe bike infrastructure from Alki to Magnolia.

Thx @bestsidecycling.com,
@qagggy.bsky.social, @gordonofseattle.bsky.social & Don for a fun afternoon ride.

People say “Seattle has no culture.”

As a Seattle area local, I wonder: where have you been? Festivals, art, concerts, quirky pop-ups—it’s here if you look.

This weekend’s Art Marathon turned Downtown into a gallery.

Culture isn’t always somewhere far away—sometimes it’s in your backyard. 🌲🎨

10+ years of advocacy paid off! 🚲🎉

Beacon Hill now has new protected bike lanes linking downtown to the South End — a huge win for safer streets, community persistence, and better connections.

Big thanks to SDOT + all the neighbors who made this happen.

Missed this late August update: Seattle now has its own Indian Consulate, right in the heart of downtown.

🌲🤝🇮🇳

A big step for connections between Seattle and India.

I finally checked out Funko HQ in Everett on Sat! 🦖

Got “snatched” by Godzilla, explored all the wild pop culture mashups, & left with a Dratini & Green Ranger.

North Sound isn’t my usual stomping ground, but I love finding gems like this on road trips. Perfect stop before heading out to camp.
