Celebrity deaths rarely induce deep sadness for me. But I admit I am bereft contemplating the departure of Ricky Henderson, whose talent and swagger made me love him from the first moment I saw him void a catcher of the will to live. At 65, he is too soon gone. Much like the Oakland A's.
