It’s a strong sign we’ll head to the polls in '26; she’s obviously afraid of recalls & running another campaign built on lies. I still wonder what she & her lobbyist hubby told their kid about coal, she brought him to the #AbLeg the day the NDP hosted people of all political stripes opposing mining.

I doubt that she is proud of her record, which makes this letter another serving of disingenuous drivel.

Her legacy... austerity, privatization, removal of rights and fossil‑fuel defence. Her work on the environment in particular was constrained by, and actively advanced, a pro‑market, pro‑oil framework incompatible with nature conservation and climate justice.

Not something I would be proud of.

Good riddance, did this thing ever drink the Kool-aid. I guess paying the most for insurance, electricity and dying in an emergency room makes Alberta the best place to live while charging seniors for vaccines. So out of touch with reality it's pathetic.

I am disappointed. Not because she's leaving early, but because she has nothing to show for her (dis)service to Alberta. Her reference to building unity is profoundly shameless.

Speaking for myself, I think:
1. Time
2. Societal rejection of MAGA
3. Justice meted out to current admin
4. New rules to prevent happening again
5. Tackling real issues from wealth inequality to climate change (all countries need to do this; USA has larger influence)

I agree. When asked if "all Canadians hate Americans," I say, "Of course not. But we can read and we understand the implications of the 2024 election. We don't hate you, but we certainly don't trust you."

Similarly, #Canadians who no longer cross the US border are not responsible for declines in US tourism revenue. ##ElbowsUp

I agree. It's one of the topics I can't discuss with my family, who live in Nate Horner's (and PP's) riding. They know how I vote and I sincerely believe they are embarrassed by their choices...yet somehow incapable of not voting for the worst politician on the ballot.
