Perhaps for the first time ever, Trump's "Truth Social" is featuring the actual truth rather than Trump's lies.

This can't last. I predict that Trump will call in Musk or some other tech bro to "tune" the AI bot to deliver only "alternative facts" that support autocracy and racism.

It’s a strong sign we’ll head to the polls in '26; she’s obviously afraid of recalls & running another campaign built on lies. I still wonder what she & her lobbyist hubby told their kid about coal, she brought him to the #AbLeg the day the NDP hosted people of all political stripes opposing mining.

Her legacy... austerity, privatization, removal of rights and fossil‑fuel defence. Her work on the environment in particular was constrained by, and actively advanced, a pro‑market, pro‑oil framework incompatible with nature conservation and climate justice.

Not something I would be proud of.

Good riddance, did this thing ever drink the Kool-aid. I guess paying the most for insurance, electricity and dying in an emergency room makes Alberta the best place to live while charging seniors for vaccines. So out of touch with reality it's pathetic.

What a way to end 2025!

Stefania just turned 105 and is the most seasoned signatory of the #ForeverCanadian petition. She insisted that I come to her birthday party.

Like me, she was 12 when she left Poland, also with mom and a 5 year old sibling. She too adores Canada.

Speaking for myself, I think:
1. Time
2. Societal rejection of MAGA
3. Justice meted out to current admin
4. New rules to prevent happening again
5. Tackling real issues from wealth inequality to climate change (all countries need to do this; USA has larger influence)

This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

This isn’t gaffe level incompetence; it’s a fundamental inability to distinguish aggressor from victim.

No country should ever be represented like this.

This really reminded me of Tony Benn's comment when he retired as an MP: he said he was "leaving parliament in order to spend more time on politics."

And I'm glad they picked a Grievous Angels photo to head up the article, rather than the standard guy-in-suit-at-podium one that politicians get.

Oh, Smith was prepared - to dodge questions and drone on.

Public education is of no interest to her and her caucus. And absolutely not a priority for the ucp government.

Danielle Smith is the most despicable premier in Alberta history. Not only has she stripped thousands of their Charter rights, but she has destroyed a viable healthcare system, causing death & endangering the lives of many thousands of Albertans.
She & her govt are massively corrupt and treasonous.
