People don't talk enough about how impactful the evolution of tools during the Bronze Age was. Crazy stuff back in those days.

America needs to take open models more seriously. Just this summer the early lead in open model adoption of Llama & co has been overtaken by Chinese models.

With The American Truly Open Models (ATOM) Project we're looking to build support and express the urgency of this issue.

The extreme environment at the heart of our galaxy ought to make forming stars and planets difficult, but new estimates show stars (and their planets) have no problems forming there.

Planets Might Abound at the Center of Our Galaxy

I'll further note about AWS S3-Tables:

They aren't quite ready for prime-time compared to the big data lake players, but the disaggregation of the database continues, and the "data table"'s time is coming.

They could be as big as the idea of S3 as a "building block", especially if price is right.

got AWS S3-Tables working today in a demo with some of our synthetic bordereaux data.

I believe "data tables" (S3-Tables, and similar) and "data models (semantic layer, cube.dev, etc) are the future of the data platform.

I'll also note that S3-Tables are a little wonky to get working right now;

The massive star-forming molecular cloud Sagittarius C, located about 200 ly from the SMBH Sagittarius A* at the heart of the Milky Way, despite its abundance of gas and dust, produces fewer stars than expected.

why are new movie trailers not shot as VR movies?

seems like you could shoot promos with dual cameras relatively easily, even if its not as big as the main trailer.
