Am sad I'm going to have to be at the flat over solstice due to various commitments but at least I get sunrise view there & on Mon aft I can get away again knowing days are getting longer even if it doesnt feel like it. Then only another few days till the dreaded Xmas time is over for another year.

Morning ORCs, awake 0515h, in my regular quarry spot for shelter from yesterdays wind, not a breath of wind this morn, deathly silent & fairly mild 7C.
Starting to get into a van routine now but back to my flat today after week in van☹️ busy few days ahead plus unpacking, laundry, repacking etc.

There are links btwn Fujitsu, Computershare & #MortgagePrisoners

The paper trail is there.

It just needs someone with influence to blow the lid off it. Or for ITV to make a TV programme.

Yet another govt is clearly continuing to ignore Mortgage Prisoner scandal.

Why? Who else is implicated? 🤔

Headed north to warm up the van & recharge battery, to our happy place. Rain had stopped but started as we arrived. Undaunted we had a good hr+ beach stroll in wind & rain.
Drenched but good haul of sea treasure incl some bits of rare blue glass & a fossil.
Heater on & drying out now. Dog snoring 💤

Need to move to a sheltered spot & then head north, need to return to flat tomoro☹️
But 1 more night of freedom, looking on map now for a good spot. Only 4 days to shortest day 🎉
Has been a useful test run to see how I manage in tough conditions - the damp & darkness is harder than the cold.

Morning ORCs, 3C in cab, 7C in back of van at 0600h. Luxury to switch heater on from bed. V windy & exposed here & just started to rain. Dog still swaddled under blankets. Made coffee but milk was off so had to restart the process, lucky I'd got new milk. No plan today except staying warm & dry.

He was a fine specimen when younger, solid muscle. Always had an affinity for mud 🙄😂

But he & my puss cat were such good buddies ♥️ but puss cat was always top dog 😂

Not just powerful business leaders, but local district councils too, used as a weapon against staff who fought & won against discrimination & constructive dismissal.
V glad this abusive practice is now controlled altho my fight was 20 yrs ago & left me unable to work since.

Yeah, that's where I meant. I've stayed up there last year in my previous van. I woke up to see a line (insert appropriate collective noun) of alpacas being walked past 😁 quite surreal, I thought maybe I'd dreamt it 😂

Where the café is, near the pigeon tower? That's a steep climb!

I love these woods, came here often last year when living on the road, lots of places to park up overnight. In another lifetime I used to climb in the quarry here & bring youth club groups climbing (ex youth worker & outdoor instructor). It's much more wooded than I remember it being in the 1990s.

He always manages to photo bomb my pics 🙄😂
But here's a couple just of him, after he'd had a good roll in the muddy wet grass 🙄
He was filthy by the end of the walk. His eyes are not so good now so he just ploughs through puddles & mud.

Photos you'll recognise here

If you know where I am at the mo, don't say it publicly, altho probably easy enough to guess for anyone who knows the area.
A lovely walk in woods along the reservoir shoreline to a (fake) ruined castle on a beautiful clear sunny day with lovely reflections & colours. Did me & dog the world of good.

Then away up t'hill to catch sunset, started off promising at 3.30pm but then sun disappeared behind a bank of cloud above a ridge, leaving only pink clouds by 4pm. And then it was dark ☹️
Its cold tonight, probably ~3C now, will possibly be frosty overnight.
V thankful for my heater, 20C in van 🥵

Lots of nooks & crannies to explore, with stairs & passages that go nowhere. In places it's now genuinely tumbling down.

Liverpool Castle, a fake ruin, built 19thC (I think, can't remember but it's on Wiki) but very atmospheric & an interesting folly.

It's my fave fake ruined castle 😁
I've been a few times.
Got some nice pics which I'll post later, the sunshine & clear blue sky was glorious & not a breath of wind so some lovely reflections on the res.
Sunset started off promising but was disappointing & gone before 4pm.
Cold up here tonight.

Now off to a nearby nature reserve (which has toilets & cafe 👍) for a dog walk in lovely sunshine before the rain returns tomoro. Will stay there tonight, in a high west facing spot in hope of a pretty sunset🤞
