Please pay attention to wording. “Possessing a gun” does not mean it was drawn or that he was threatening anyone. Minnesota allows open carry. “Two magazines” doesn’t mean two additional magazines. Don’t you think he was pointing a loaded weapon they would be very clear about that?

Absolutely.
It's actually a good thing that previously apolitical normies are finally getting angry and starting to speak out. We need the numbers in the streets and at the polls.

If your response to them is "no, fuck you, too late," then you don't actually care about stopping Trump. You're just preening.

So if a country’s president is a criminal, another country can capture and remove them? Interesting…

Rethinking retirement plans.
Most towns could absolutely support one “culture bar” — a bar that’s programmed for cultural tv events like award shows.

This is separate from the Oscar’s news that prompted this comment.
All I ever wanted was an Oscars cocktail bar experience the way sports fans get sports bars…

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

I just realized that Senate Dems didn't even get a guarantee of a floor vote on a bill, as if anything could get 60 votes. Seriously, y'all?!?

Subsidies for the Affordable Care Act appear set to expire for millions of Americans at the end of the year after competing health care related bills failed to advance in the Senate.
Competing health care plans fail in the Senate as ACA premium hikes loom
The outcome was widely expected after Democrats and Republicans released dueling bills. Congress is under pressure to address health care costs before federal subsidies lapse at the end of the year.

This framing infuriates me. The “endgame” is unclear?!? How about the startgame? Like, please mention the complete lack of justification in the headline.

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net

Even hurricanes don't want to be here.
In a typical Atlantic hurricane season, at least three storms would have already made landfall in the U.S.

But with 12 named storms so far this year — four of them hurricanes — the only one to make landfall was Tropical Storm Chantal. Here's why.

I think a lot about how narratives of patriotism in U.S. politics depend on an ahistoricity that suggests harsh critiques of the nations leaders, its values, and policies, and relentless loud demands from advocates and activists for change, are some newfangled product of a contemporary era.

I have heard people point to reports that Charlie Kirk's killer was upset about hate speech as proof he was on the political left, and the fact that it is just assumed that if you are anti-hate speech you are on the left so damning of the political right.
