In early 2025, beaver activity in the Brdy Protected Landscape Area, Czech Republic, contributed to the restoration of a wetland ecosystem. Someone just asked why we're buying apple juice from China when we have apple surpluses here sometimes. In addition to not having the processing infrastructure, if we were to try and replace the apple juice we import (~430 million gallons) we'd need to grow an additional 15 billion apples per year.
