Not a bad idea -- if House Republicans refuse to hold town halls in their congressional districts, local Democrats should set one of their own up.
Every Democrat who lost in a district in 2024 should hold a town hall if those Republicans won't.

Rep Raskin has been great. Rep Ocasio-Cortez has been great. And Rep Frost and Rep Crockett. Senator Murphy. Maybe no one knew exactly what to do. But such people laid down a clear marker. Let’s respect these and other elected federal representatives who stood out these first few weeks.

I've noted some of the procedural things Democrats could be doing in Congress, but this point from @edgeofsports.bsky.social's great piece in the Nation deserves emphasis.

OPINION: In general, the sages looked askance at ancient Rome's gladiator games. The Talmud prohibits Jews from attending them, with one exception.
The one person I hear from in PA, a childhood friend who is a fairly conservative Christian, who mostly keeps quiet about politics on FB, is now speaking out about the dangers of Trump. She lives in a small town. I know she quietly voted for Joe in 2020 but she’s not quiet anymore.
