In past yrs I've talked about the problem with "excellence" in my scientific values class. In the present climate, I'm actually afraid of being fired for pointing out that words lacking precise definitions are in fact worse than useless as a criterion for anything.

Here we go! I broiled the tops because who doesn't love a little char? The purples turned white and the blacks turned green after cooking. Still gorgeous. And the filling was... just right?!
Seventeen stuffed peppers in a skillet, cooked with a little charring on top. They glisten with olive oil and look delicious.

They provide much of the staffing in rural & underserved areas of the country & many fill positions in important areas of medicine that are often shunned by US-trained physicians, like primary care, psychiatry & pediatrics'

I have so many, let me select down to those that represent how we do science! (isn't this all your papers?)

I have so many, I will select down to CNS b/c those are the "best"!

I have so many, Iet me select our lucky breaks!

The one time it makes sense is to show expertise in particular area.

Can already hear counters:
So what, x% less drugs is fine b/c save x$ & only important few
Big pharma bad - they are trying to kill us so less drugs = good AcTuAllY

Etc

Getting point across has to be much more specific & personal, imo

I will read to see if they got there. Just read abstract.
