I’m not often glad that my father died a few months back but this is one of those times. He would have had steam emerging from every facial orifice. The other former judges and legal academics who fought so hard for a federal ICAC must be enraged, as he was, by the crippling of the NACC #Auspol
Brereton also insisted that no case put to him had “ticked the boxes” for a public hearing.
But that’s all I’ve got from this inquiry which is now over.
Time seemed limited, I didn’t feel we got most out of it but it is what it is
Now what? Back to waiting tor nothing to happen

Were I in a govt that really cared about kids, I’d be banning new coal and gas mines with rather more fervour than the current ban on social media.

As a handful of us have been screaming for a long time now: there is no "ceasefire". The UN security council has approved the further colonisation of Gaza, and Israel is being rewarded for its genocide. It's still the 1700s in the West, we just have phones and cheap dopamine addictions now.
