I don’t see how this country survives until 2029 unless Trump is impeached and removed. This level of lawless malice is not sustainable. What fresh horrors await us this week?

I want a candidate that explicitly states that, if elected, ICE is done. And not only that, but a full investigation will be done to find and prosecute each and every agent who has broken the law.
Swalwell to @gregsargent.bsky.social: "I’m not voting to fund this ICE. I support getting rid of their immunity. I support requiring them to take off the masks ... This ICE is not what anybody asked for, and I’m not going to vote to continue it."

The “if she had complied, she’d still be alive” line that we’re hearing from ICE defenders is the mantra of apologists for security forces in dictatorships through the ages.

Oh yeah for sure. Definitley try to get non-insured individual pricing at your local hospital. Definitely a Good Idea.
BARTIROMO: What is the GOP's healthcare plan?

RICK SCOTT: Many times you can buy it way cheaper by just going directly to a doctor or a hospital or surgery center rather than going through the insurance product. Let them buy their own insurance.

Take a look at this very good George Conway launch video here, for his campaign in the congressional district I grew up in.

I look forward to joining him as he campaigns on Broadway near Fairway, Zabar's, and Absolute Bagels. (I only do the West Side.)

Venezuela’s government is arresting journalists and sending paramilitary forces to suppress anyone who is too happy about Maduro's removal

THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES SAID WE ARE IN CONTROL OF VENEZUELA
STEPHANOPOULOS: Why wasn't congressional authorization necessary?

RUBIO: It wasn't necessary because this was not an invasion. We didn't occupy a country. This was an arrest operation.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, passed by Congress on November 19 with an overwhelming vote. Complying with it was not optional. The Department of Justice did not comply.

I want to make sure this is very clear.

1) Venezuela has a government.

2) This is being thrown together at the last minute by people who—amazing as it sounds—are even less intelligent, qualified, and competent than the GWBush-era dunces who tried to make imperialism happen in Iraq & Afghanistan and failed miserably. What could go wrong?

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.

Reminder that Congress has the power to stop all of this. Where the hell are they?

It’s hard to believe a president would time an illegal military attack to distract the public’s attention, but today is the statutory deadline for DOJ to release its report on the Epstein file production. Maybe it is just a coincidence.

This strike doesn't represent strength. It's not sound foreign policy. It puts Americans at risk in Venezuela and the region, and it sends a horrible and disturbing signal to other powerful leaders across the globe that targeting a head of state is an acceptable policy for the U.S. government.

Hakeem Jeffries was not briefed on the operation, Jake Sherman is now reporting. Neither was House Armed Services Committee. Amazing.
Whatever happens now, we absolutely cannot allow Trump's refusal to seek Congressional authorization for what appears to be a large scale military attack on another country vanish from the media discussion, which already appears to be happening.
