Very true. (& it also seems to me that these people see mental health issues as largely imaginary anyway) it’s clear that non white healthcare is problematic in all kinds of ways

(& I understand it’s not necessarily so clear cut for all trans people. But that doesn’t mean we should be denied treatment. Not all cancers respond to treatment but we still try)

They are ass at programming as well. Everyone I work with who uses them regularly I've see backslide both in competence and productivity. People whose opinions I used to value and trust spending day troubleshooting small issues with the wrong framing of the problem in the first place.

To be blunt:
This government is treating a child changing their name and pronouns as being as dangerous as most narcotics, and treatment as if it were shooting up bleach.
The "caution" exerted is extremely disproportionate.

It is far cheaper (comparable to paracetamol) than the double whammy of costs of expensive psychiatrists in GICs to tell trans people what we already know: That we are trans; and psychiatrists to help us cope with the distress of being pointlessly denied treatment.
