They expect - they NEED - the people they threaten to fall in line, like the law firms and universities and media companies and billionaires and Congress did. If you say “No, make me,” they simply do not have a Plan B. TRUMP DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH GUYS TO MAKE YOU.

True justice would have been taking a stand and removing ICE from the state before people were kidnapped, terrorized and murdered.

The next best thing is removing ICE now.

What are you going to do to protect the people of WA, governor?
I'm concerned that the federal government has denied access to evidence for local law enforcement in Minnesota. Minnesota must be allowed to seek justice.

It really do recommend making your shitty day the problem of your shitty senator's voicemail every night, it doesn't have to be a chore. It is a actually cathartic

Is shame an effective tool to influence politics and redistribute wealth? What happens when you shame the rich?

Genuine question

Shame comes from the fear and pain of social exclusion and ostracism. It reminds humans of their need to be a part of a social group to survive.

Does this work???

They're seeing 1) how the world reacts 2) how Congress reacts 3) if there is any formidable legal or military opposition 4) if they can normalize it like they tried to do with the Gaza genocide (I don't think that succeeded, and their attempts to normalize Epstein are succeeding even less)

The “Venezuela distracts from Epstein” line is ridiculous because 1) many awful things happen at once 2) Same Iran-Contra crowd pushing Venezuela invasion are or were involved with Epstein/Maxwell 3) Epstein associates (for ex, Dershowitz) want Iran invasion and see Venezuela as a test run for Iran

Last year, Trump promised American oil executives “a great deal” if they donated $1 billion to his campaign.

Today, he gave them Venezuela — home to the largest oil reserves in the world.

This new war is not only illegal and reckless; it is deeply corrupt.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

This is lazy and callous publishing—someone died!

The article is a mindless rehash of the Kent police statement.

There have been at least 3 pedestrian deaths in Kent in the past 2 weeks. But no cause for alarm. Pay no heed to the resident-created signs to watch out for kids!

What transit infrastructure do you want to see, friends?

Share your thoughts below to imagine a world with the transit you’d love to have. Maybe we can make it happen someday

I want transit

Where it’s possible to commute to Seattle by train daily from major Washington cities like Vancouver/Olympia/Bellingham/east Washington for work/medical treatment.

My mom wanted to do this once for medical treatment and it was impossible without a car.

Transit infrastructure just means driving in a car to you doesn’t it….🫠

What a stupid investment of time, money and resources
To be blunt, the state has neglected its core transportation infrastructure for too long.

Today, I announced that I'm proposing $2.1 billion, the largest investment in 2 decades, for preservation and maintenance of our roads and bridges. This is being done without raising taxes.

Almost laughable incompetence that 10 years after ST3 was passed the Seattle electeds are suggesting... maybe... we should look at shared funding for the tunnel.

What are you doing and why?

This is extremely painful to hear after a series of progressive victories in local elections. It feels like a betrayal.

There is no need to give Microsoft Brad Smith’s voice and concerns any amplification. His money already speaks volumes.
King County Executive-elect Girmay Zahilay has responded to scrutiny over his appointment of Microsoft president Brad Smith, saying he condemns “any facilitation human rights violations committed in Gaza.” He pledged to continue to engage with major regional institutions like Microsoft.

Mike Solan, SPD guild president, issued a statement openly questioning the validity of the votes for Katie Wilson.

Solan's embrace of the far right & SPD's history of aggression could make a dangerous situation if the national guard is sent to #Seattle.
