I remember seeing him do a midnight set after a KCRW show and I'd never seen a DJ whip through that many samples and songs, it was like watching someone DJ in fast forward

Right? None of them will include the Godzilla attack on Miami, they're gonna feel so dumb

I've read most of Larson. He's truly a master at capturing the hubris of despicable men as a driving force of history, I just wish we weren't living through one of those eras

I'm reading this right now and having a similar experience. It's pretty stomach-churning and all-too-familiar

The Gofundme one is especially oblivious. Yeah, man, we know

And the perception of ugly/beautiful changes. The Eiffel Tower was one of the most controversial things ever built. People HATED it because it didn't "look like Paris."

No doubt, though you may soon be an obsolescent outlier in your desire to fix it before using it, which brings up whether it's not worse in some ways (version 1 so bad you throw it out, version 2 good enough to pass muster but still wrong)

Love the way the floor is angled downwards slightly to make it subtly look like he's falling

Only if he spends time working on his Croft

I know I feel that way about giving you advice too! Hopefully they'll both go off so your decision will be good either way. Good luck!

I'm a "don't sit your studs in the playoffs" kind of guy but definitely sound logic. Is it PPR? Bowers will probably catch more passes even if he doesn't get TDs. (As a Packer fan I'm hoping the Raiders overachieve but not optimistic)

Likely has a lot more competition for targets than Bowers. He might have a high ceiling but he definitely has a lower floor

I love it but my wife haaaaates it. One of the few things she won't eat.

Oh I love it. Hey, a thing we don't agree on! Whoo-hoo!

Oooh I like Magical Sorkinism (as a phrase, not a phenomenon)
December 8, 2025 at 7:54 PM
Just rewatched it about a year ago and holds up incredibly well. Way better than a lot of other comedies from (yikes, how has it been this long) 15-20 years ago

Murray is one of the funniest characters ever to grace a television screen

There are probably also some interesting angles to be explored on whether the need to monetize it from the get-go actually worked against its adoption and conversely made it far more of a money sink
