My take, Vance was able to show he can be a likeable, intelligent guy. So in that sense, He did well. We know he can understand issues. The question is, will he use this intelligence to help the American people ?

All the hype goes to the forward pass. I may be in the minority but there's nothing better than watching a dominant halfback tear up a defense.
