Cassidy is the senator from Louisiana.

He is notoriously antiabortion.

He makes up stories about mifepristone all day every day.

The “mifepristone isn’t safe” lie and “FDA didn’t evaluate it” and “repeal everything the FDA did” is their current legal strategy.

Cassidy’s tweet is an exhibit FFS

As to MAGA and MAHA and many conservative Republicans I’m not confident on your first point. They’re certainly more vocal than ever about their pro-life views. The states are banning abortions more than ever. I think they’re the ones pushing the timeline up.

Not weird if you follow the attack on women & reproductive rights in this country. It’s part of the anti abortion legal strategy.

Compare to what Louisiana (Cassidy’s state) filed today. If the court grants this injunction, no woman in the US will be able to get the abortion pill via telehealth

Just saying. The picture of LaMonica McIver isn’t an accurate depiction of your headline. People should know she was the first political prosecution. Not Comey.

They were open to lawmakers when @replamonica.bsky.social @repbonnie.bsky.social @menendez.house.gov walked in that day. The officials gave them the tour AFTER the arrest (which only happened bc Todd Blanche called Ricky Patel snd told him to arrest Mayor Ras Baraka!)

The blue state attorneys general must intervene ASAP.

I also think Danco and GenBioPro, plus pharmacies and doctors could intervene, but whether they will is another matter. Less clear whether the medical groups and advocates would.

Could you work some of your magic on abortion rights? Because the state of Louisiana just filed a motion that, if granted, would prevent all women in this country from getting the abortion pill via online via telehealth. We’d return to in person dispensing requirements. ALL of us, in every state.

This is a BIG DEAL.

There will be a status conference THIS FRIDAY to set a briefing schedule.

REMINDER: THE ONLY REPRESENTATION WOMEN HAVE IS THE FDA.

We need some intervenors, STAT.

I’m simplifying it, but it’s pretty simple. This money is in OUR Treasury. Trump is writing checks for extravagant shit we don’t need - OR WANT.

And, he’s refusing to write checks for the shit we do need - for the monthly bills, for the utilities, for the HEALTH INSURANCE. He’s a deadbeat dad.

When Republicans tell us that healthcare is too expensive: don’t forget *why* it’s too expensive. It’s too expensive because Trump promised tax cuts to the wealthiest billionaires. And bailed out Argentina. And the FBI is carting around Kash Patel’s girlfriend’s drunk friends.

That’s *our* money.

[*sidebar: he’s wrong. Congress doesn’t pass state legislation, states do.] Carr continued…

“The Constitution is clear that all executive power is vested in the President, Congress can’t change that by legislation.”

[Lord help us. That’s the only clause of the Constitution any of them know.]🥺
