Scholar crafting a healing-informed sociotechnical imaginary for transitioning to a posthuman culture built on well-being not profit and growth.
I want to crawl back into my mother’s little green VW, riding along the Neckar River, with the defeat of the Nazis and a somewhat successful civil rights movement in the rear view mirror. Heading towards a future where the end of Apartheit, reunification, and world peace are possible.

In #Okinawa, coastal fishermen now farm #coral, restoring #reefs like planting trees in a forest. With #ocean temperatures rising, half the world’s coral reefs have already vanished. These farmers are fighting back, one fragment at a time.

Road thoughts: equity, inclusion, development… all imply some form of assimilation to standards, and a system that ultimately leads to total destruction. There is no win in capitalism. In a world where the well-being of life comes first, neither equity, inclusion, nor development are needed.

The U.S. gov is trying to replace services with AI, shaping the algorithms that lay out our future without public input. We need to advocate for community well-being, and engage with reps. Imagine algorithms guided by love and the power of life itself 🌼 #AI #Community #SpeakUp #resilience

This sounds revolutionary to me! A car with locally sourced materials, including the lithium, electric, and for $4,500-7,000. This will change a lot of people’s lives latamobility.com/sheinbaum-an...

Kanye West has gone full Nazi. Full full Nazi.

But I don't see any of the top House Democrats who obsessed over alleged antisemitic student protesters on campus - Torres, Gottheimer, Moskowitz, Goldman, Fetterman, etc - calling out Trump and the GOP for their one-time alliance with Kanye. WHY?

I’d much rather spend my time focusing on my kids, my job, and the dissertation I am writing, but things have changed! These are tangible actions everyone can take. Thanks @qasimrashid.com for this work!
If you're feeling frustrated like me, I document Trump's fascism for the record, and also share 7 meaningful things we each can do to fight back against his fascism.

There's no quick fix—but with collective efforts, we can make progress. Here's how: www.qasimrashid.com/p/magas-7-de...

This right here ❤️
Remember to keep your eyes on the prize: the future world you want to build

Don’t drown thinking only of the things you are against

Remember to dream of and work to create what you’re for

Thank you @eladn.bsky.social for sharing about your personal transformation. This is how we change the world one by one. Grieving, healing, imagining ❤️

“Mourning will allow us to move forward because it will also be an acceptance of change.”
A piece I wrote right after the election and right before Bluesky took off.

On leaving Orthodoxy and entering fascism. My story, and how it taught me to deal with what’s coming in January.
It's the End of the World
Reflecting on what it's like when everything you know falls apart, and how you pick the pieces back up again. And how it can help us deal with fascism.

No one needs to repent or atone to be worthy of love, yet, this is a regular lesson parents teach their kids. This reinforces the social imaginary that supports capitalist goals. Supporting the desire to live, learn, flourish, connect on the other hand supports liberation.
