You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.

#USA is not at war with #Venezuela unless and until it is authorized by an act of Congress.

Until then, it is an unconstitutional action of 47 involving the DoD in an illegal move in Venezuela.

The people of USA have not authorized a war. Far from it.

When I studied research design, ethical research was a must.
If the outcome of withholding care for the sake of randomization would result in injury or death, it generally would not be approved.

Withholding care (in this case, the Hep B vax) from vulnerable children in African nations is heinous.
"Babies in the randomized, controlled trial will or will not receive the vaccine at birth...

"It is a breach of scientific ethics to withhold an intervention that has been proven safe and effective."

It is not! A “scrivener’s error” is for things like fixing typos or very minor non-material errors, not retroactively adding a deportation order that doesn’t current exist!
Is "correcting" a previous order like this a real thing?

Rabbiatu is a nurse who worked during COVID, had been in the U.S. 30 years. A judge ordered that she could not be sent back to Sierra Leone for her safety, for fear of torture (!). So our evil regime sent her to Ghana (in shackles), and Ghana dragged her back to Sierra Leone.

Thing is, we DID hear about it at his confirmation hearing.

Every single senator who voted to confirm Hegseth knew he held these views about the laws of war.

They voted to confirm him anyway.
Everyone should read this terrifying thread about Hegseth’s published views wrt war crimes. It’s pretty fucking radical …. We needed to hear about this in his confirmation hearing.
A chapter in Hegseth’s book is literally titled “More Lethality, Less Lawyers.”

It’s almost as if there were signs!
