We need to talk about the rise of "smol bean fascism" where you have all the guns and the immunity but the really scary people are the ones with whistles and phone cameras and they're giving you generational trauma and ptsd by filming you killing people for no reason

remember all of the serious infosec folks who treated trump 2 as the grown-ups coming home who would take kinetic to cyber and shore up cisa's mission?
The interim head of CISA "uploaded sensitive contracting documents into a public version of ChatGPT last summer, triggering multiple automated security warnings that are meant to stop the theft or unintentional disclosure of government material from federal networks," per DHS sources.
Trump’s acting cyber chief uploaded sensitive files into a public version of ChatGPT
The interim director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency triggered an internal cybersecurity warning with the uploads — and a DHS-level damage assessment.

yup, foot on the gas
Hey, this Bovino thing is a pathetic attempt to make all these horrors the fault of one guy, and it would be a serious, serious crisis if people fell for it. ICE needs to be abolished, bc this - terror, murder - are what it exists for. Nothing else. This is just an attempt to mollify us. Stay angry

after three decades of brow-beating from right wingers about how "high-capacity" is a lame liberal bait and switch term regarding ar-15s, they are now using it to describe sig handgun magazines of all things
BASH: Footage shows him holding a cell phone, not a gun. Did he at any point pull out his weapon?

BOVINO: We do know that the suspect did bring a weapon, a loaded 9mm high capacity handgun, to a riot.

(That's a no!)

I was a sensitive kid. I loved cats. I had OCD, undiagnosed.

When I was 9, a fraternity brother tortured a cat to death in my hometown. The details even now are beyond imagination. archive.is/xdmUL

I was traumatized for years from reading the news story.

The torturer? Now the head of the NRA.

You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

the vast majority of the people cited below always pay lip service to this (i.e. clearly bad shoots that cannot be even remotely defended) when describing examples of government overreach and then promptly step back in line to swallow the boot - see Philando Castile and Daniel Shaver
FWIW, on Xitter there are a number of gun rights people, libertarians, and actual conservatives who are (with varying degrees of caution) criticizing the murder.

If that keeps up Trump could create a problem for himself, especially given that all those implicated in the murder are attacking 2A.

Pretti clearly did not brandish his gun. Which means the government is saying he was killed for legally exercising his right to carry.

It’s as clear-cut a violation of the Second Amendment as I can possibly imagine. And we’re about to see the bulk of the gun rights crowd defend his murder.

Our initial analysis is up.

The video footage appears to show that the gun was taken away from the man before he was shot.

He was UNARMED before any of the shots were fired.
Federal law enforcement agents shot and killed a man in Minneapolis on Jan. 24 according to local police officials. DHS told Fox News that the man was “armed with a gun”. A video of the shooting appears to show that a gun was taken from the man before the first shot was fired. x.com/BillMelugin_...
