He was injured for a lot of last season, was probably playing through the pain more than he should. Will take time to trust his body again (plus no pre-season etc).
We've also switched to a midfield two, so if Grav is popping up and scoring Macca is the one further back so seems to be "missing"

Grief, injuries, new playing style, other teams improving while we adjust.... We're where we were expected to be last season, when Slot led us to the title. We're having the season Arsenal and City had last year.
