I heard this in the moment and frankly thought Trump said "Peggy" and assumed there was a reporter there with that name. A completely shocking comment.

NEW: The Tate brothers, who have been accused of sexual misconduct in three countries, had their devices seized by law enforcement when they arrived in the U.S.

Days later, a White House official told DHS to return them.

Oh, okay. Pam Bondi just fired the Epstein and Maxwell prosecutor, Maureen Comey.

That'll kill the conspiracy theories.

Stunning. May was brutal for Trump in federal court: 96% loss rate ⚖️. Even GOP-appointed judges have ruled against the admin 72% of the time. District courts are doing their job defending the Constitution. Soon the Supreme Court may be the only court unwilling to defend the rule of law.

The last on-duty homicide of a detention and deportation officer was 1949.

The last time there was even a non-COVID death on duty was 2016, when an officer had a heart attack during a foot pursuit. Before that, a training accident in 2003, then a fall down an elevator shaft at a jail in 1975.

Excellent piece on Miller on habeas. Far superior to the surprisingly both-sides-ish coverage by some media.

What Miller is claiming the power to do isn’t questionable or dubious. It would be anti-constitutional usurpation.

148. Suspending Habeas Corpus
In response to adverse rulings in numerous immigration cases, Stephen Miller is raising the specter of suspending habeas. His argument is factually and legally nuts, but it's worth explaining *why.*

This May 22 dinner is a high crime and misdemeanor. A president of the United States can’t use the office to enrich himself in this way, from potentially anonymous donors for whom he might do favors. This is as textbook as corruption gets.

He’s using the White House to get rich from anonymous investors—and it’s hardly even a news story.
