Question for the igneous petrologists out there: what would you call the bulk of a crystal that is neither an inherited core or the rim? We've gone back and forth between "crystal host" and "crystal mantle", not sure which to use in an abstract I'm working on, or if there's another term⚒️

@agu.org, I'm afraid that attendees need some clarity on how this ICE deployment is affecting the meeting. Many int'l colleagues and students are flying in and spending time in the city. Should they all switch to online? Will registration be refunded? How will they be protected?
