Friday! My old nemesis. I've been on an Anthony Price kick and remembered that I loaned a few of my books which I never got back, so re-ordered the lot. Working on A New Kind of War; one of the ones I never picked up while I was in the UK.

Rewatched the greatest haunted house movie of all time. THE HAUNTING, with Claire Bloom and the marvelous Julie Harris, the original 1963 b/w film--not the execrable 1990s remake. What is a better or even comparable haunted house film? Directed by Robert Wise! The psychology, the photography!

Bad storm this weekend, but Monday comes whether I like it or not. I watched Return of the Living Dead Pt II during the storm, and while it's not one of Linnea Quigley's films, I was reminded I still had this. Can't remember how I got it; an American horror con, but which one? Ehh ... fun times!

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him.

“When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

Good Morning Wednesday! I'm enjoying this one. Dry in places, but I'm not sure whether that's the author or something about the Japanese writing style. Near the end and I can see the puzzle pieces shifting into place.
