Inching the wall hanging further along...
Portraits painted on the ends of six shipping tubes. The pain runs off the portraits and down the sides of the tubes.

In-progress mockup of the floor piece. Some of these tubes need to be trimmed down, but I like the distribution of colors and sizes.

The theme for today's #BlueskyArtShow is #small so here's some tiny Vermeer themed guerilla art I've left around the Netherlands.

That tracks

Rembrandt's self-insert character is the only figure to stare out and implicate/include the viewer in this vignette. So I painted my own self-insert character who stares at Rembrandt's self-insert character staring at the audience.

Still no luck. It's kinda similar to Endicott and kinda similar to Havant, but I don't think the box depicts either unless they took MAJOR liberties with the design.

Why paint The Storm On The Sea Of Galilee on poster tubes? This Rembrandt, stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in 1990, was cut from its stretcher & rolled up by the thieves. If it still exists, it's probably sitting in a tube just like these, hidden away in someone's attic or basement.
