I also appreciate the feedback that even in the updated version on spinel.coop you don't find it to put the business case first. I'm also curious about that'd look going forward, so I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

I saw the language as a placeholder as we're figuring things out for our version. Because ultimately we'll be talking to potential companies, and seeing what resonates with them and tweaking whatever the wording is on the page from that.

Just a heads up from how I saw this. The language there was inspired by Geomys (as the first line mentions) and you can find the same wording geomys.org

We've been in talks with them and asking for advice on how they've set things up. They've been very kind and helpful imo.

Right, and then my recommendation now is for people to figure out how to play with that kind of turn of phrase in a console enough so they internalize it. Because then it's something you can feel safe building/"speaking" with in a riffing session.

Right totally! I think it's partly that devs aren't that skilled at planning or have experienced bad versions of it.

But there's versions that could save them so much confusion, code and miscommunication.
