My almost 3 year old son loves watching baseball with us but he keeps saying the players and we have our arms on backwards. He will not elaborate.

I read @mollyknight.bsky.social s book just before playoffs last season and it got me "back" into baseball. Still mad about Mookie not being a Red Sox player anymore, but I'm happy to watch local and cheer for players I like everywhere

We watched the Red Sox opening day game yesterday, my son insisting on playing a 2yo's interpretation of the events on screen during the commercials. During pitches, he would yell "aw, he missed!"

A friend of mine's brother worked on this and that's how I found out it was out. I knew it was due out soon and still that's how I found out.
Well the world already has to resort to begging people on Bluesky to be aware it exists because it was just dropped in theaters for 4 days without marketing.

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

We went to see a local showing of Fire Walk With Me in honor of David Lynch and I saw a crowd expecting an episode of Twin Peaks become increasingly divided and by the Bang Bang Bar scenes several people walked out. The show: silly, fun, horrifying. The movie: horrifying, fun, rarely silly #filmsky

You cannot overstate the impact of the frivolous litigation against librarians and website operators.

The whole point of these "harmful to minors" liability laws is to scare people into complying in advance with the conservative censorship project.

It costs so much money to go to court.
Concerns of frivolous litigation arise with bill that targets ‘harmful content’
House Bill 1239 would remove the legal exemption a librarian or educator has when distributing material that could be deemed harmful to minors.

More simply put, this means gender-affirming care providers nationwide will continue to receive federal funding, pending further litigation. It's great news.
BREAKING: Federal judge issues a nationwide preliminary injunction against the medical provider funding prohibitions in Trump's EO seeking to restrict gender-affirming medical care for those under 19 and the "gender ideology" funding restriction in his Jan. 20 "sex"-defining EO.
