Really impressive piece of journalism here from Grace Murray at @tbij.bsky.social : interviews with 100 indigenous people ahead of Cop30.

(Obvious importance of the issue aside, I don’t envy managing the logistics of compiling this many interviews)
Climate journalists in Europe and North America often write about the forest as a resource, or something that can be quantified

But what if the forest is your home or a part of you?

For our first Cop30 story, we spoke to 100 Indigenous people from the world’s tropical forests

This long version of an ITV Gordon Brown interview is worth the watch. He lays out just how little we tax gambling companies compared to places like Delaware and how changing that could lift 500k children out of poverty: something Rachel Reeves could do at the budget:

Yesterday we delivered a @38degrees.bsky.social petition with @louisehaighmp.bsky.social signed by over 92,000 to 10 Downing Street, calling on the government to end the misuse of NDAs.

After 6 years of reviews there’s no excuse left. With a govt supporting workers’ rights, the time is now.

Superb research from Runcorn by @38degrees.bsky.social. Striking contrast between areas of concern vs areas of action. A majority (including even a big chunk of people for whom immigration is the top preoccupation) look to different policy areas to actually judge a government. @mcgregor.bsky.social

After last-night's nailbiter by-election, here's our Chief Exec Matthew on where voters are feeling the hurt, and why the gains aren't making up for it (yet):
