Eurasian wren (Troglodytes troglodytes) 🪶 Орехче

Tiny wren perched on an old fence that was once painted brown but is lost a lot of the colour and is now spotted with lighter, beige stripes and spots, a perfect blend of for the camouflage plumage of the bird. Lighter blurry background.

170.000 RAPTORS IN ONE DAY!

After yesterday’s heavy rain and a quiet morning, today the sky exploded with Steppe Buzzards and large eagles! Continuing from 10 am until almost the end of the count.

At some point, we counted over 14.000 raptors in less than 20 minutes. THAT'S BATUMI!

Back to old #Iceland photos! Two different drone views of the same river braid area in the south-east - the first taken in June 2021 on the #DJIAir2S, the second in October 2024 on the #DJIMavic3Pro.

A network of river braids across a plain with grey rocky sand and yellow vegetation. A tiny green tree can just be seen on the sand. The water is turquoise.

A wider version of the previous photo, taken from the opposite angle. Still lots of turquoise river braids and some dried up rivers meandering across grey rocky sand with some yellow vegetation. A couple of little bushes can just be seen, with autumnal colours.

This is a Common Eider with #attitude 😀 umm a huge belly
