If this were Just Stop Oil, there'd have been dozens of arrests, furious denunciations in the billionaire press and, perhaps, long jail sentences. Farmers have a right to protest, and the police respect it. Other people, it seems, not so much.

Driven grouse shooting is about killing animals for fun, which personally I have never understood and it disgusts me.
Plus the damage to ecosystems from the raising of grouse.
@WildJustice_org is right to oppose it.
Signed.

So relieved to hear that Gaie Delap is finally home. Gaie is a peaceful climate protester who spent Christmas in prison because the private company in charge of security monitoring couldn't find a tag to fit her. I know her friends and family will be overjoyed to have her home.

I've just registered my opposition to plans to expand Bristol Airport - they're not only reckless and irresponsible in the face of the climate crisis but would expose residents to severe noise, road congestion and pollution. The consultation closes today: bristolairport-futureplans.co.uk

How Ofwat responds to the crisis at Thames Water will send a clear signal about what private companies can get away with when managing our water.

It will show whether or not the regulator is fit to do the job of representing the public interest.

We can easily spare a tenth of England for nature without affecting food production!

I’m sure that Dartmoor farmers will go apeshit about any idea like this but I’m genuinely confused as to why: sheep on Dartmoor are literally worthless. Any off-track walk on the moor will take you past any number of dead sheep just left to rot. Why does it matter if lynx eat a few?
"There’s a strong case for reintroducing lynx to Britain. Without large predators, deer populations have exploded, compounded by the breeding of red deer for shooting, as well as the introduction of non-native fallow, sika, muntjac and Chinese water deer."

Good points Mike, and although some folk think they are cute, the damage that they do to young trees is enormous. Without some serious control our native forests will die out and much of our tree planting efforts will be wasted

A few notable additions from the last few days:
