TURN THIS UP
The Inspectors General refuse to leave until the action is taken legally, which they do not believe it was, and neither do senators like Chuck Grassley. This is what not backing down looks like.

As expected, the Trump team is already deleting climate info from government websites. In anticipation, our team at Urban Ocean Lab created a permanent archive of 100+ key resources and published a permanent archive: www.urbanoceanlab.org/resource-hub 👩🏽‍💻

This man on TikTok has two devices for using the app: one with which he accesses the US version and another with a Mexican IP.

The video below came up on his Mexican FYP and is from the POV of people at a construction site in the US hiding from ICE:

Lots of people say they are tough on China. Supporting Ukraine is the one easy and safe way to deter China. Those who don’t support Ukraine can’t be taken seriously on China.
⚡️Taiwan’s former president urges US to prioritize aiding Ukraine over Taiwan, Politico reports.

"A Ukrainian victory will serve as the most effective deterrent to future aggression," former Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen said during the Halifax International Security Forum.

This vote is happening tomorrow. If the Democratic Party is to serve as a functioning opposition, 52 of its House members need to change their votes from “yes” last week to “no” tomorrow.

The 52 are listed in the thread below. If one of them represents you, please take a moment and call.
This is a first test of whether the Democratic Party will protect us.

This bill failed Tuesday, because it didn't get a 2/3 House majority under suspension of rules. But this time (likely Monday) it just needs a simple majority.

All but 1 Republican voted for it last time. But so did 52 Democrats.
The House is about to vote on a bill that would give broad and easily abused new powers to the executive branch to allow the Secretary of Treasury to strip a U.S. nonprofit of its tax-exempt status. Tell Congress to vote NO on H.R. 9495.

Tapping the sign

We do not compromise on issues of human dignity no matter what. No poll or election or outcome could make me abandon those values.
My priority is equal rights, safety, and peace for every human and no election will change how I move toward that end ❤️ Keep up

Caffeinated from a late night drive and freaked out by *how* bad the coverage of Trump Sec Def Pete Hegseth is, I decided to start reading his new book, The War on Warriors. A thread. The new Pentagon chief begins by bragging he was pushed out for being an "extremist"... 1/

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive
