"You have it in your power to make a difference. Don't give up. There is a future for you. Do your best while you’re still on this beautiful Planet Earth that I look down upon from where I am now."

Those were Dr. Jane's last words, as released by Netflix.

Kathryn Parsons, Jane Scobie and Sophie Marritt at Gibraltar Point, The Wash, Lincolnshire. The landscape behind the three women is sand dunes, with the sea in the far distance. It's sunny with a few clouds. A collection of small sculptures sits in a display case, in a window overlooking the Wash, Lincolnshire. The sculptures, made by Kathryn Parsons, are made of objects collected on the strandline. Work by Jane Scobie at Gibraltar Point Nature reserve, for the Sounding The Wash exhibition. There's a deckchair with strandline shells and seaweed on the floor. From the ceiling a willow and fabric sculpture is suspended. Poster for Sounding The Wash. The text reads:

Absolutely delighted - these super-fragile porcelain sculptures survived the heat of the kiln!! 😃

Made for "Sounding The Wash" at #GibraltarPoint, UK 13th 19th Sept 2025, with the wonderful @lincswildlife.bsky.social, #SophieMarritt & #JaneScobie
on the bottom left there's a female hand, the thumb and first finger are touching the edge of a tiny white porcelain flower that's part of a larger sculpture. The flower is about 5mm across. It's joined to a cluster of other porcelain flowers, leaves, lichens and shells by long entwined strands of porcelain that create a swirling shape. In the top right there's a glimpse of another part of the sculpture with tiny porcelain shells and leaves on three strands of porcelain making a swirling circle.

#ThreeGoodThingsThursdays - my three good things for this week are... Cuckoos calling, Terns nesting and festoons of Flag Irises! 😃
I love this time of year!
#TGTT
Yellow Flag Irises in dappled light, under willow trees. The flowers are lemon yellow and in full bloom. They're held on long tall stems with long thin straight leaves.

Well that's not something I've done before! Rubbing foil in to old carvings - to understand their lines. The carvings are near impossible to see except in bright sun!

On old bridges on the historic location of Westings Meadow (a long-forgotten place).

#WestingsMeadow #senseofplace #socialhistory
A female hand rests on a piece of tin foil, on an old stone bridge that's covered in lichens. The foil shows an impression of a carving of a hand, a bit bigger than Kathryn's hand. The stream flowing under the bridge can be seen in the top third of the photograph.
