The worst thing about having a job is having to constantly explain how calendars work to men old enough to be my grandfather. I firmly believe that after I send a calendar invite with a meeting link, my task is done. Save it to your calendar like an adult and manage your own schedule!

I've literally had back-to-back-to-back illnesses since fall began and I'm losing my goddamn mind. Having a toddler in daycare is like being put on the rack. And now I'm missing the first fancy work dinner my employer has hosted in YEARS.

We're trying the gentle parenting, name-your-feelings thing, and now my toddler is always saying "[her name] crying. [her name] sad. [her name] mad Mama" whenever I do something she doesn't like. On the one hand, this seems like a valuable skill. On the other hand, damn girl! Mama's doing her best!
