‘Doolally, economic vandalism’ - Willis blasts Greens’ mining intervention
The Greens’ promise to revoke fast-tracked consents on seven mining projects has prompted government ministers to come out swinging, and one mining company to defend itself.

I did an interview with Tom Scott that was supposed to be for a North & South story. But North & South is unfortunately "on hold" for the foreseeable, so I've ended up creating a Substack as a destination. It was fun to be able to just dump the whole thing in there. open.substack.com/pub/dubwise/...

Israel murdered five al-Jazeera journalists, including Anas Al-Sharif.

They did so because they're now liquidating Gaza City, and want to silence the remaining witnesses.

To Western journalists silent about the slaughter of your colleagues:

Their blood is on your hands, too.

This much I know about the changes to secondary education: While one in ten New Zealanders rely on food parcels to eat, and one in a thousand New Zealanders live rough, a huge number of young people will struggle to achieve their true potential whatever happens with NCEA.

As we face more flooding, made worse by climate change, it can be hard to keep track of the multitude of climate policies of the Luxon Govt. This is made harder by their misleading statements. So I have built a timeline up to June 2025. www.greenpeace.org/aotearoa/sto...
Luxon’s War on the Climate - a deliberate effort to increase emissions - Greenpeace Aotearoa
The Luxon Government claims they are serious about climate change. They say they are simply taking a different approach to cutting emissions, such as using price signals rather than regulations.

In the debate about how to pay for the impact of climate fuelled flooding of houses, let’s remember that Luxon is fast tracking new houses on a floodplain in Auckland, by a company whose director donated heavily to National.

Let’s be clear: Israel, an occupier, has no authority under international law to board or divert the Madleen.

This is a hijacking, plain and simple. A hijacking of a UK-registered ship, with multiple *European* citizens on board.

Does the EU or UK government have anything to say? Anything??
