The only ones who did face repercussions were the male teachers who went for boy students. Male teachers going for girls or female teachers going for boys was obviously acceptable (to adults if the era).

My physics teacher was known to have a girlfriend in the 5th year every year. Apparently his wife was one such past student who got pregnant. Never faced any repercussions that I'm aware of.

A whole bunch of us have grown up in the UK knowing to flee in the other direction if we spot this flag anywhere. We’re not going to pause to see if there are stickers stuck below them.

And if they’re stuck elsewhere, we will not get close enough to see the text - again, we’re just going to leg it.

I remember running a training course in 1998 or 1999 for YTA scheme new staff at my then employer. (I mention the scheme because they were ugly 16). We were chatting and somehow I mentioned playing records at the wrong speed. These wide-eyed kids who only knew CDs looked at me like I was an ALIEN!!!
