Hear me out. Who was the first dude on the podium at the Euros final there? Was it Tom Cruise in a Mission: Impossible mask? And if you’re saying no, are you sure? The face, the eyes, and the hands don’t match the face.

I don’t think I can cope with football if this is what it’s like!!

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to present my Frith Prize talk at the EPS meeting yesterday — it was such an honour and a delight! I had some fascinating questions and conversations that will definitely help shape my next projects. Huge thanks to @exppsychsoc.bsky.social for the fab conference!
An image of me presenting my talk. On the slide is a thank you to various people that helped make the work possible

That's all for #EPSLancaster25, a huge thank you to our local organisers - Padraic Monaghan and Alice Milne - for all of their help!

EPS meetings couldn't happen without all of our amazing attendees, talk and poster presenters, symposium speakers, prize winners and meeting helpers. Thank you!

Ah that’s amazing, thank you. I wasn’t trying to be rude about your post, it just stirred something within me! Thanks for adjusting that 👍

Here’s my opinion - let’s stop saying a piece of work is from someone’s (the most well-known person’s) lab. Let’s credit the first author even if we haven’t already heard of them. How do PhD students and postdoc and other ECRs get known if we erase their names from discussions of their own papers?

What an absolutely brilliant concert with Stamford Chamber Orchestra! Mozart narrated a ‘children’s guide’ piece written specially for us by John Sturt, complete with kiddo violins & singers. Jupiter symphony was genuinely one of the best things I’ve played in a while - well done everyone!
A selfie of over-excited oboe and flute players with an actor dressed as Mozart in full wig and fancy coat.

Ugh no. I met Mark once, a long time ago. He and his wife, Gabby Giffords, are absolutely amazing. Look them both up. Mark and Gabby have such a collective wisdom, they should be listened to.

Only in America could a Ketamine-infused South African oligarch call a navy captain, astronaut and sitting US senator "a traitor" for supporting our allies and standing up to Russia...

"...there is now a worry that REF2029 will enable a different injustice: that institutions can hold onto the outputs of staff they have sacked, while making it harder for them to gain new academic employment because they are no longer linked to the work they created."
