I see pieces like this a lot, often w/ a spin of lamenting cultural degeneration, but reading is a LABOR issue, it’s declined because so many people are working overtime or two jobs & employers expect after hours work. France has Earth’s highest reading rate b/c long lunch breaks & labor protections

BlueSky does not currently have advertising or any real monetization. Doing a boycott/blackout will have absolutely no impact on them due to this, other than users who would be impacted by the censoring doing the work for them.

The real way to impact would be to post more. Trend. Make them moderate

We're at an Italian restaurant by the beach, and they put small bowls of garlic, chilli and parmesan cheese on the table. The table next to use has a wagtail on their table eating the paramsan cheese directly out of the bowl 😭 (they know and are filming the bird)

Stopped at a plant nursery on the way to Plett and got a new bird added to my life list 🥳 Grey cuckooshrike. I was lucky there was a raptor rescue place there and the guy working there was able to identify this photo for me
