Called my congressman who voted for the SAVE act.

Me: What documents will I need to vote if this passes?
Staffer: a DL and birth certificate.
Me: The documents don’t match
Staffer: Then a marriage certificate.
Me: Will my husband need the marriage certificate too?
Staffer: No
Me: See the problem?

While I was journaling this morning I was writing that I am going grocery shopping later. It’s pretty telling if you support someone who is so far removed from a regular life that he thinks the word “groceries” is an “old” word. You might also want to think about that on a deeper level.

I don’t blame Bernie.
He prob feels like, you want to do a real interview about why we are doing this, then great, I’m here for it, if not you are wasting our time on fluff looking for something that isn’t there.
It’s tiresome. We are all tired of entertainment “news” stories about nothing.

This is how we really lose our power to vote.

WAKE UP! R’s philosophy for reducing the debt is to cut a HUGE REVENUE source (i.e. raising taxes on the ultra wealthy). So, essentially we’re asking the waitress to pay the bill so that the wealthy patron gets the meal for free. Got it!

So the wealthy get to sit in their ivory towers while the rest of us have to “sacrifice” and “go through tough times” because the only way to solve a debt is to cut programs from millions of us. All of us are entitled to have financial success, but we can’t do it if all the wealth sits with a few.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office.

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

It’s time to do what we do best: Make Republicans squirm and ensure Democrats fight like hell.

Your representative is back home for recess and we’ve got events planned across the country (including Tesla dealerships).

We know that showing up works and the stakes are too high to stay home. LFG. 👇

Want cheaper housing, shorter commutes, and more walkable neighborhoods?

The problem isn’t demand—it’s zoning. Outdated laws ban apartments, shops, and even duplexes in most cities. It’s time for zoning reform.
