The thing that's personally upsetting me about the Venezuela take over, that no one seems to be talking about is that it's going to lead to so much more oil abstraction at a time when we are in a climate crisis! Profit over planet clearly and it's so demoralising.

If there's anything AI has done for me this year, it's awakened a hunger for person-to-person connection. Hanging out with a baby, going to see live theatre, eating food someone made, appreciating art from 200 years ago, from 800 years ago, from 10,000 years ago... Human creation is so wonderful.

There are a lot of things that make me mad. Like. A long list. But fake AI videos of wild animals doing cute things that animals do in fact do, make me so unreasonably mad. Should this incite the most rage in my heart, of all the horrible things going on right now? No. But here we are.
