Two lads on the train this morning doing last-minute prep for an exam, and debating whether natural gas was a renewable energy source. ("Natural" = Good = renewable, you see.)

Now wondering how many other people share that confusion, in these marketing-heavy times.

What?!
Dunno how this hasn't been picked up by the media yet but #BillC15 would remove the provision allowing libraries to send books to and fro by Canada Post at a cheaper rate. In Newfoundland about a quarter of the physical items signed out of libraries use this service! librarianship.ca/news/bill-c1...

Make university accessible. Make further education accessible.

Further/higher study is a personal benefit for those who take part in it, and a social benefit for the world. It should be government funded and government secured.

As a uni lecturer, I believe that education is a human right.
15 years ago today the Tory & Lib Dem government tripled tuition fees.
Young people, our economy and society are robbed of the learning and skills universities offer- whilst graduates face average debt of £53,000.
Education should be a right, not a privilege. Scrap tuition fees.

This is the sort of thing that in any normal province would sink a government. The Sky Palace pales in comparison.

It's such overt corruption, but they're doing everything they can to change the rules so it's not illegal.
