In Northfield, I heard from a local business owner struggling just as much as they did during COVID. Small businesses like theirs are the heart of our towns, but these massive tariffs are making it impossible to survive.

On Friday, I visited a mosque in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood to stand with our Somali and Muslim neighbors. When our communities are facing fear and uncertainty, we come together, we look out for one another, and we make sure people know their rights.

As Attorneys General, our job is clear: protect the people and protect our democracy. And with the 2026 elections on the line, we can’t afford to look away or pretend this doesn’t happen in America. We’ve seen exactly how far bad actors will go to undermine our freedoms and we need to be ready.

With the holidays coming up, visiting Keepsake Cidery was a great reminder that small, locally owned producers are at the heart of our rural economy. They create good jobs, support local businesses, and keep our communities strong. When rural Minnesota thrives, all of Minnesota thrives.
