I write and talk about the NBA, especially the salary cap, CBA and roster construction stuff. I do these things for Spotrac, NBA Front Office Show and The Basketball Bulletin. Any nonsense you see here is from me, not my employers.
Kings will also create a $5.4M TPE for Saric as a result of this trade.

Very out of character, but really good work!

Common question after an unbalanced trade:

You have to have the roster space to complete the trade. You can always waive the player you acquire, but you have to have the space to acquire the player first. That means having to waive another player to complete the deal.

They might!

🏀Cavs will likely create a TPE of about $6.9M
🏀Kings take on $10.1M in salary for Hunter for 26-27
🏀Bulls will likely acquire Saric via a TPE that was created from the Zach LaVine trade.
🏀Bulls will need to waive a player to acquire Saric, as their roster is currently at the max of 15 players

I don't think it's got anything to do with LeBron or Kobe. In 1992, Magic Johnson was an All-Star when he wasn't in the league. They spent time in the fourth quarter with him taking halfcourt hook shots.

The game has rarely ever been good and guys have never really gone all that hard.

I mean watching 24 balls flying around. That sounds like what it used to be like when I played pickup at the YMCA!

I feel like that would be way too hard to follow!

If the player who has been out there the longest scores, second-longest is eliminated. Play until one person eventually wins.

Players could work together to eliminate others. They could play solely for themselves. Kind of like the Royal Rumble itself.

It's really dumb, I know.

Yes, but they are under the first apron and were looking for ways to duck under the tax line. They weren't likely to add salary.
